Everybody worships something! It could be our career, our family, our calendar, or the team we plan our whole fall Saturday around. In this message, we kick off a new sermon series on worship by asking what worship really is and why the God of the Bible is worthy of it. Looking at Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4, along with Psalm 103 and Romans 12, we see that worship is so much bigger than singing songs on a Sunday morning: it's our response to who God is and what He's done for us through Jesus. Unlike a sports team that has good and bad seasons, God's character never changes, and His love came first, before we ever did anything to earn it.
